Now while you may chuckle at the video above, I think this is a case of life imitating art. How many times have you been in a supermarket/restaurant/movie and had your experience, which you were paying for, ruined by someone who can’t be bothered to get a babysitter? When I was a child I had two choices, behave or get the daylights beat out of me by my parents. It only took once or twice before I figured out when I was in public I better put my best foot forward, or the best I could hope for was a quick trip home. If I couldn’t behave, I didn’t go out with the folks, it was just that simple. I don’t blame the child, I blame the parents. So instead of smacking the kids, let’s start knocking the parents upside the head.

I grieve for our future.  It seems we’ve robbed this generation from good old fashioned values.  Remember when any adult could smack you upside the head for being a dumbass?  I remember being dragged by the ear out of the street by a neighbor because I was blocking traffic.  I would have rather have gone around the block twice like that than face Dad, who wasn’t enthusiastic about why junior was being a nuisance.  I did however learn to avoid becoming a human speed bump..

So whatever happened to the parental smackdown?  I’m not talking about abusing the little curtain climbers

I mean enforcing some discipline.  When I’m in a restaurant, it’s not okay for little Billy to run around the tables in circles screaming.  Or for little Sasha to be running up and down the aisle at the movie theater; although it was funny when she ate popcorn off the floor (I stopped her after the second bite).   I propose a solution to the problem.  Next time you’re out in public and some parent is ignoring their out of control child- smack THE PARENT in the back of the head.  Oh sure it won’t stop little Cadwalder from bending off your car antenna, but you’ll feel better.  Until the cops arrive…

Now, years after I’m out of school there’s been a rash of similarly hot teachers sleeping with their male students.  Here’s a hint geniuses.  SHUT UP!  SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP.  If you’re 17 and you and your incredibly hot teacher have a torrid liason, for GOD SAKES SHUT UP.  If you must tell someone, tell your Dad.  He’ll be able to appreciate it.

Now if you’re some creepy male teacher sleeping with little girls or boys, they should lock you up and throw away the key.  That’s sick.
